Twitchers Or Birders?

I believe these are twitchers, as opposed to birders....the more serious type but I really have no idea. I know they were watching a Parrot Crossbill that can feed on the pine cones in these trees.....yes trees on Shetland, not many but we have a few.

I do know that this, standing in the wind and rain all day in October, in Shetland, on the off chance of seeing a rare or rare-ish  bird, is not my idea of a holiday but each to their own, they all seemed very happy.
