The Visitor....

We have had rain all day. I took Maisie out for her walk before 7.am. She came home very wet and bedraggled. We have a very old apple tree in our garden. The variety is known as Peasgood Nonsuch. The apples are enormous and great for cooking. Despite the rain this rather damp Bumble Bee was determined to gather some pollen from the apple blossom.
Our Granddaughter Emily’s Aunty Carol and her Grandma Beryl drove over from Nelson this evening. They were bringing Emily to stay for a few days. We all enjoyed a meal together before Carol and Beryl headed back over the hill home to Nelson.
