Slow Progress

So I have spent the day setting up the new computer.

One big time waster was trying to get an MP3 file to play ... everything seemed fine, and all the media players I tried happily played the file, but no sound. I googled it, uninstalled, reinstalled etc etc but no joy. Hours later I randomly selected another MP3 file, and it played perfectly - hooray!! Back to the first file ... nothing .. obviously a problem with the file :(. Did I feel silly

So now I'm starting to copy my photos and other file across .. its going to take some time!
