A fine potful

Today we took a ferny friend over to Edinburgh to the last meeting of the Scottish branch of the British Pteridological Society for 2017, in a member's house. Here she is holding a lovely specimen of Pityrogramma calomelanos, a native of South and Central America and the Caribbean. She gave me a small plant to add to the others that I bought and brought home!

Not hardy outdoors here , of course, and used for medicinal purposes in its home range.
