St Brendan’s Pilgrimage

After having spotted a pilgrim Path on my recent visit to Avila I was intrigued to keep coming across signs for the “Kerry Camino”. The mystery was cleared up when I found this church, St James in Dingle. Apparently medieval pilgrims following in the steps of St Brendan would walk to this church before proceeding to Dingle harbour to board a ship for Corunna in Spain. From here they would continue the journey to Santiago.
