Southern Sky

When I set off from home this morning, it was still getting light, and the whole sky was grey. By the time I got to the outskirts of Gairloch, the sky looked like this.

There are worse ways to start the day.

My only trouble is that I want to stay a bit longer and see how the sky changes each minute. However, those pesky children would be sitting waiting for me to corrupt their young minds, so duty calls!

I'm off to Di and Inge's tonight as a pre-birthday dinner party for Di. The plan is to play scrabble after dinner. I'm hopeless at this game, but seemingly Di is excellent, so she should hammer the lot of us - as befits the birthday girl. I think the best plan is to have loads of wine and spell things as badly as you possibly can; that way, people can get their jollies shouting and protesting and grabbing the dictionary; always good for a laugh.

Tomorrow, I am off to a wedding on the boat in Inverness. This is "The Lord of the Glens", which I visit frequently during the summer, doing my singing/playing bit for the visitors. This time, however, I am a guest at the wedding, and it is the manager of the ship who is getting married. We then go on to Tulloch Castle for the reception, where I have booked a room for the night.

Not a bad way to spend the weekend.

Have a great one yourselves, blippers!
