Taken at 2.30pm on a beautiful afternoon, this sight greeted us as we emerged from Waverley station. By contrast, a few minutes earlier I blipped a ghostly Balmoral Hotel through the skylights of the station - see extra.

Lovely coffee and catch-up with the younger Troonie, wonderful concert by the Welsh choir Affinity in the Augustine United Church, then dinner in Viva Mexico! altogether made for a perfect day out with D#2.
