Cabbage Rose

We've had lovely day today - an early start getting to the airport for Hannah arriving at 7.55 then just a peaceful domestic day in the house and garden. I went out to get some groceries and spotted these in a bunch of flowers at the shops - couldn't resist them. I think they must be the original ' cabbage ' rose as they seem to be the top leaves of a vegetable. The delicate pink centre was perfect for BCAM.
It's always sad to see the garden start to die back but actually there are still butterflies around. We had a Red Admiral in the garden again today.
