My Love is like a Red, Red Rose

By the time I finally got organised to do some photography, it was well after 5 pm. I'd been inspired by some of the blips I'd seen overnight featuring multi exposure in camera, so thought I'd try.

It has not worked satisfactorily. Maybe a rose is not the best flower to try but that's making excuses. Only two overlaid shots here, the first shot with the flower in focus and the second shot with the flower out of focus. Shooting out of focus first and then in focus worked even less well. Am frustrated too by not understanding how to use flash with modifiers.

I'd stood a speedlight in a white box, pointing up and on a remote trigger. OK, it's added more light to the scene but it's not controlled, directional light. I need to learn more. If I'm confined to 'barracks' with dodgy knee, I'm going to have to bone up on different genres of photography.

The white box was also a sore point. After a little searching on google and facebook, I discovered that the unit that I bought earlier this year 1) flaunted patents and copyright 2) had not been supplied with the LED light. They have been condemned on FB as scammers.
