After the event

A joint birthday party was arranged for Jack (7) and Sam (3) in the village hall with a disco, bouncy castle and a visit from Spiderman. Poor Sam was up all night with a tummy bug and although he seemed fine by this afternoon he only came along for the last 15 minutes and had none of the food which was demolished - in a fairly selective way - by the 30 guests. We were going to stay for the evening but the family now just want an early night and we are happy to open a bottle of wine at home
