A Little Egret

Chancing his luck by thinking about fishing in my pond ! Luckily it had been very windy and the water level in the pond had dropped to quite low owing to the fountain blowing every which way possible and I have a net over it. I had turned the fountain off to conserve the water which I imagine made it look a great find for the Little Egret although I don't think he would have been successful in catching a fish, but he might have got himself tangled up in the net. Oh I don't even want to think about the outcome of that. So I quickly snapped a few photos on the phone through the kitchen window (sorry about the line-pole in the way) and then went out to try to get a closer shot, but he flew away. Phew, very thankful for that. I have since topped up the pond with water and it hasn't been so windy, so fountain is back on again. There are a couple more shots in extras.
