City of Culture
Visited Hull today with a friend and Li'l sis. We started with a lovely lunch before heading to view The Turner Prize nominee's work. It was controversial as usual and a source of much interest and conversation. There was some lovely photography on display, including some Ansel Adams' pieces. We then headed to The Maritime museum where Li'l sis was outraged by the history of whaling. We popped for a coffee before heading to The Wilberforce house- thought provoking and very emotive. Finally, we visited the Street Life museum and viewed historical transport. Li'l sis and I had a ride in a carriage simulator!
We headed home after a few purchases, dropping lil' sis off before getting ready for drinks with the same friend I'd spent the day with and The Other- Half.
