Mittelteich. (Middle Lake)
I had a lovely day starting off with lunch with Hubby and a girlfriend. We went to the Vietnamese in Czech Republic then our friend invited us to a renowned cafe/coffee shop/bakery/Konditerei for coffee and Esterhazy Torte (see extra). This is a cake invented in Budapest in the late 19th century consisting of many thin layers of nut meringue filled with butter cream flavoured with vanilla or liquor. It is very sweet but an absolute dream, perfect with a strong black coffee. We dropped our friend off home then stopped by a lake on our way home to check the autumn colours. (I had taken some photos in Czech of a golden avenue near the restaurant but i wasn't happy with the light.) The leaves were not quite as developed as in other areas but still made a pretty scene with this fishing hut by the shore. The water level is still low after being emptied and fished out last November and low rain falls this year. It is trying to make up for it at the moment as the rain is pelting the attic windows.
