Pollokshields Tram Depot

The Tramway is a Contemporary, Visual & Performing Arts Venue in the Southside of Glasgow and the home of Scottish Ballet. It started life as the tram depot  in Pollokshields before closure and conversion to become the Transport Museum in '64. The first public performance was the Mahabarata.in the celebration of the European City of Culture 1990. Those of us who lived locally expected this to be the first and last production with the fire at the end of the amazing production but this was not to be. It is now a listed building and has a wide range of exhibitions & performance including being the home for the Tate Exhibition in 2015.
