Kaelyn and the Queen

Today was a fateful day. I had a feeling it would be so I took lots of pictures of Coonmora Lady Fiona. This one is with our good friend Kaelyn who lives in Vancouver with her family. She and her father came down to pick up mail and to visit. My brother Steve came by as well. We all had a good time together and everybody spent some good loving time with Fiona.

Not to avoid the subject at hand. Fiona's UTI came back. It was clear that she was not going to recover from this recurring condition. After our guests left, we took her to the vets for her final appointment. It was such a hard decision. But it was time. So we bid a sad but loving farewell to Fiona, Queen of the Universe, who shared this world with us from twelve weeks after her birth on November 16, 1993 until today, October 1, 2012. She was close to nineteen years old when she left this earthly plane. The vet and our good friend Nicole, one of the assistants, were so kind and helpful. We had some good peaceful loving time with Fiona before it was time for her to go. We will miss her. She was part of the family for a very long time. She was a great gal and had amazing beauty right up until the time she died. The Queen has gone to the Universe where she is no doubt making it known that she is ruler of all.
