Sunday stroll

Agree another fry up breakfast all us (10), bar A who is on the invalid list and stayed behind to mind the roast, had a Sunday stroll to Hamble via the Queen Victoria Park. It turned into a lovely day and after a look at the marina and a refreshment stop we strolled back for champagne and a late lunch in the garden.  Over 6 miles we'd walked so I guess we'd earned it.

Then as the boys watched Scotland crash out (again), the girls took the train to Southampton and the Mayfield Theatre. Turned out it wasn't a tribute band (that was last night, Mumford Chase) but THE Hollies. Never exactly a fan but Turned I know most of the sounds and was a good night from a bunch of guys aged between 57 and mid 70's.

Taxi home for more food and drink for some, one v slow glass of Chardonnay for me, some Manfred Mann and the weekend rounded of with 'Caledonia Dreaming'.
