Not Philly...

Dear Diary,

This is one of the new chipmunks visiting the seed bowl now that Philly is no longer here.  I am holding off naming him/her until I see if he comes back in the spring.  But I am already making note of his particular characteristics.  The most notable is the fact that he looks like he's sat in a dish of brown paint...that little bottom!  He's got a dark line under his eyes and a very dark back.  I will have no problem recognizing him.

Today we are getting the remnants of tropical storm Nate which hit the gulf coast on Saturday.  Thankfully it has no strong winds associated with it, just much needed rain.  It will knock a few leaves off the trees and hasten the drop but the rain is needed.
