Quarry Bank Mill

You can now visit one of the mill workers cottages at Quarry Bank Mill (it may be the steps in the photo, but I was just photographing the row of cottages, so I'm not sure).

Well worth a visit if you are in the area, although with all the added attractions (restored glass house, worker's cottage and the soon to be opened Greg's house), and the fact that there is now only one price which includes everything, it is a bit pricey if you are not a member of the National Trust.
