If you've ever been to a deer park and wondered why all the trees are neatly 'pruned' with the lowest leaves about 2m above the ground - well now you know ;-)
It is rutting season, of course, so all the mature bucks have a 'full head' of antlers. Rutting tends to take place just after dawn and I didn't go until after the Monday morning traffic had subsided, so the bucks were all being very well behaved.
