A tale of two...

Cameras.

I was asked the other day if mobile phone cameras were now good enough to negate the need for a DSLR. I said no don't be silly.

I thought I'd better put it to the test and so with some controlled lighting I too these two pictures.

On the left we have an IPhone 7  plus in portrait mode on the right a canon 5d mk3 with a sigma 85mm.

They were both 2.8 and about 100/100.  

I was aiming for the middle of his face ( nose) in both shots.

Normally for this sort of headshot I would use a tripod, flash etc but that's tricky to do with the phone so it's all continuous lights and hand held..
