The Menin Gate.

This is the stunning memorial to those who gave their lives in this most bloody of conflicts. There are about 50,000 names of men here who died and were actually never found. The Last Post, the service that takes place every here every night is unbelievably moving. Later we're going to  Tyne Cot cemetery, where 12,000 are buried. The whole experience makes you wonder if we'll ever really learn the lessons of the past, or just carry on in the same way.
