In the morning. And a drive down the road for more hen food. Got in by 11am and had a message on fb messenger asking if I could come gathering at 2pm. I had already said that I could help this farmer as he is trying to find all his sheep. We were back gathering one side of the hill we gathered last week. This farm is having a sheep inspection so the farmer needs to find all (most) of his sheep for the total count. Back gathers are different as you go looking for sheep and when you find a group you start bringing them in and if you see any other sheep you gather them into your group and keep moving also generally the sheep found on back gathers have been clever enough to elude being gathered the time before so are pretty naughty!!!. We found some sheep but not as many as we expected. We managed to coral them in a few gates and into the trailer instead of the hour long walk along the road. View picture is in the extra.
