Bikes and bike sculptures

Here's an interesting sculpture outside Holyrood. It's designed as a bike rack.
When there are no bikes hitched up to it, it's a proper work of art and when they hitched up it's functional. Proper civic art for the people to enjoy.

I wonder how many tourists don't even notice this.
