A Welcome Home.

I think the tuis missed me while I was away - or rather, missed the sugar water I bring them. They were very busy in the trees today, singing loudly, playing chasing through the branches and practicing low flying manoeuvres across the deck. You went out there at your own risk today.

I was delighted to have 3 tui chicks arrive with their Mum and they spent some time playing in the tree and of course, drinking..

This tui in the blip sat just off the deck and sang so fervently that I could see his tonsils. I am sure he was welcoming me home.  Unfortunately there was not good light in that corner of the garden early in the day so the photo has a lot of noise.
