At the water's edge ...

... the trees are glorious but look how bare the hillside is now.

Set off for Edinburgh in time to detour to my current favourite reservoir, Thriepmuir. Walked a bit of the path towards Glencorse but not nearly enough time to get there today. On my way pack I took this photograph of (nearly) the end of the reservoir and the beautiful woodland. Visited mum, then back home in time for another walk before the rain sets in. It's an afternoon ahead of domestic 'bliss' for me.
