Messing about on the

buses. Went by bus to Stratford a journey of approx. an hour. Journey back 3hours. We somehow managed to get on a bus at expected time and more or less right number (one digit wrong) but it went in opposite direction. Saw lots of countryside, small villages/trading estates. At the end of this journey had to find another bus going the way we wanted. Fortunately we only had 40 minute wait before this came. Then back through villages and lovely countryside but this time it was the school pick-up and we called at three schools. The first lot of 12yr. old mostly girls were very loud but after losing them the other two lots were quiter, older for one thing, but they were almost climbing on the roof it was so full. So after 3 hours return and one hour going think we could have reached Devon in that time.
I quite liked the colour of benches and planters by the river.
