These Things You Do

This morning was full of promise.

The sun came up over the hill and lit up the houses on the other side of the water

Himself had the day off for some painting and stuff in the garden; but the sun first thing was a ploy...

It got grey, then it got dark, then the wind picked up; and then it rained.

And basically that's been it for the rest of the day
