Out with the old, in with the new

When I opened the door to my balcony this morning, something was dangling right beside it. It appeared to be a spider, which at first glance looked dead. After observing it more closely though, it wasn't dead at all but had recently shed its old skin and was waiting for its new and soft exoskeleton to harden. Unfortunately, the photo is not as sharp as I would have liked it to be as it was rather windy and the light wasn't all that great either.

In the first extra photo the spider is climbing back up to its hiding place and also shows its old skin.

The second extra photo shows the very unexpected brightening of the sky at sunset after an otherwise entirely grey and dull day.

I hope you'll also take a look at yesterday's entry, which has been backblipped.
