Rowing off...

...into the dusk.

It cleared up finally this evening (although I think this is only a temporary respite before more rain tomorrow). We popped out for a quick walk and to pick up some bits and pieces from the supermarket. We managed to go past Cafe Regatta without having a coffee and a bun. But we did stop to take some photographs, in particular of this group of rowers who were obligingly setting off towards the setting sun. I doubt they could have been planning to be out for long as it would have been pretty dark within half an hour.

It's heartening to have the sea, Cafe Regatta and the Sibelius Monument all within a few minutes walk of here. It does mean that when it's possible to take a walk there are always interesting things to see. I've added a few more photos to my second Helsinki album on flickr.
