Lots done

A day in which lots of thing were done.  Two highlights.  The first was clearing a gutter of leaves.  This is a seasonal task and I thanked each leaf for the goodness it brought their tree, for the bring green colour which told us it was spring, for the rustling noise they made while the wind blew, for the starting colours they brought in autumn and for the goodness they will yield to plants when they complete their journey as compost.  Honest, I did.  And I'll be back in a couple of days.
The second was a trip to an Apple store with an iPad whose screen was cracked.  No problem they said have a new one.  They also said that would be £349.  Ok we said we're insured.  And they melt the old one down to make iPads!
And the phonebook of Sri Lanka arrived.  It is good to see such happy memories liberated from what was a difficult time.
