Purple

Walking home from coffee with a friend today, I spotted these really unusual berries on a shrub. No idea what they are but what a gorgeous colour they are.

Look good enough to eat....which is probably suggests therefore that they're highly poisonous!

I am assuming that a blipper out there will enlighten me as to what this shrub is.
