Inn Valley
There was another weather window forecast so we decided to take the cog railway up the Wendelstein and walk down. It was a glorious morning with a hint of mist in some of the valleys, but as we got up towards the top of the railway we could see more cloud to the south from yesterday’s rain. We walked up to the top of the hill from the railway, and the view south and east towards the Inn Valley was stunning. The whole of the Inn basin was filled with mist and the higher Austrian hills were behind covered in snow; it was stunning. It’s difficult to do it justice but the main blip is a panorama from the top and the first extra a telephoto shot towards the Großglockner. The other is a Gemse (Chamois) casually enjoying the sun on a steep slope just below the summit.
Yesterday’s blip.
