What time is it?

A huge day of travelling today. I left the house at 5.30am to meet the Cross Country team at school and then we travelled to Calais to catch the ferry (we were originally supposed to be travelling on the Euro Tunnel but due to some kind of technical/maintenance work we were bumped off and onto the ferry. Brilliant). We then had a long drive to Cambridge where we were staying in a Travel Lodge in the middle of nowhere. Brilliant.

As we arrived early and weren't racing until tomorrow the coach driver dropped us all off in Cambridge where I had the unexpected pleasure of doing some shopping! Woohoooooo! It was brilliant especially as it was totally unexpected and it was a very productive shopping expedition. We all met up for a meal and the kids in the team were fantastic and conducted themselves very well in the restaurant.

I spoke to both my kids and they seem absolutely fine with Grandma and having a great time, so no worries there. We even managed to get Olivia to school for the day despite neither of her parents being in the same country!
