Diwali
It is better to live your own destiny imperfectly than to live an imitation of somebody else's life with perfection.
In a different building today. I've heard it said that variety is the spice of life, and the change of building coincided tastily with the celebration of Diwali organised by the Hindu staff. They laid on a free lunch for all-comers - and the queue snaked round the entire room. It was a good spread, and in keeping with scripture, not too heavily spiced.
I met Keith at the new brewery, Crowded Castle, which has an interesting cast of beers. The owner/brewer was on hand to schmooze and show us round the brewery. He talked chemistry engagingly and turned out to be an ex-preacher from the Lutheran persuasion. He also managed an excruciatingly bad Scottish accent.
