CURRY NIGHT
Hi there everyone.
I decided to have a go at a Chicken Tikka Masala Curry for our dinner.
This was totally made from scratch. No jars, packets, or tins used (apart from tinned tomatoes) I put all the different spices in to make a masala paste, and lightly fried it with onions. This brings out all the different aromas. By this time, at 8.30 in the morning, it was starting to smell like a curry house!....and this was before cooking it! I then put it into the slow cooker with the chicken etc for 8 hours. Towards the end of cooking time I added a cup and a half of coconut milk. I have to say, that I was very pleased with the result, especially as it was my first home made curry, without using ready made sachets/jars. Barry loved it, and has booked it again. So that must be a result!
I am now having a rest on the bed, and intend to watch a movie, as I am so full up.
