On Your Marks

This house spider appears to be on the starting blocks, just as we are metaphorically, for Peak Assault. There are almost 900 of us heading to Snowdonia from Hertfordshire for orienteering in the mountains. Of that number 400 are youths, so 500 adults and a total of about 650 competitors.

Philosophy Friday
I had a lady contact me today, asking if she was too old to do the Girlguiding Walking Scheme training. I was shocked to learn she's only 53! So she quite probably has years and years of waking ahead of her. This brought me to this piece of philosophy:

The important thing... is not how many years in your life, but how much life in your years.
