Roman Mosaic
I am away for the weekend with the Visual Arts Group of the Royal Photographic Society near Maidstone in Kent. I travelled down this afternoon with good traffic - busy but few holdups. On the way I paused at Lullingstone Roman Villa and Eynesford Castle (extra). The latter was particularly difficult to find as its sign was hidden by foliage and it was down a lane signed 'Village Hall'! Both places were interesting in different ways and in both places I was the only visitor - at least there were no stray members of the public getting in the way!
The hotel was easy to find and we have had a couple of speakers plus a good meal this evening. Tomorrow we can go out and about during the day, gathering together at 5.30 for more speakers and sharing work. All good fun.
