Rhein Barge

After we had been in Schwäbisch Hall we made an effort to get somewhat closer to the ferry so ended up camping in the Rhein gorge. The gorge is quite narrow and a real transport hub; large barges go up and downstream carrying goods, there are roads and railways on both sides and everywhere are castles and vineyards. The blip is looking over the river to Kaub near the well-known Burg Pfalzgrafenstein set on its small island in the Rhein. We made good progress and ended up near Almere where we stayed at the marina.
