Canal
This is a Pinhole photo of a canal near me, the camera i used to take this was a box brownie which i have removed the lens, shutter and aperture out of and replaced with a pinhole, the camera is basically a dark box with a hole in the front.
It uses 120 film and produces a 6x9 negative which is nearly 6 times larger than 35mm (full frame digital) meaning it has a better dynamic range and a smoother gradient.
After some test rolls and general experimentation with exposure i have calculated the aperture of the pinhole to be around f700. this was a 2 minute 8 second exposure, Due to the really long exposure time the water in my opinion looks great and due to the camera being pinhole the whole image has a dreamlike feel.
This image was only a test shot so isn't that good but i guess it proves that you dont need fancy cameras to have a camera capable of taking good photos, a good photographer takes good photographs not the camera.
