Went to collect Ola's belongings today & learnt that the home office had moved his flight to 11:27 this evening.

Frantic calls between me & various agencies ensued. I managed to get hold of Theresa May's & Simon Hughes personal numbers but had to leave answer machine messages!

(You can do the same if you wish: Ola's (Olelakan Ayelokun) charter flight is at 11:27 this evening flight PVT090. if you want to help you can call the the UK border agency (+44 (0)870 606 7766) ) to demand this deportation is terminated.
Leave a message for the Home Secretary Theresa May, who has ultimate responsibility for asylum, on (+44 (0)20 7219 5206 or mayt@parliament.uk) to ask her to show compassion or email the new Minister of State for Immigration, Mark Harper (fod@gloucestershireconservatives.com or +44 (0)1452 371 630) to ask him to intervene. They have the power to delay this flight to buy us time to get an appeal together.)

Ola has been taken to the airport (charter flight PVT090) his only chance now is to kick up a fuss on the plane, ask to see the pilot & ask him not to fly on compassionate grounds (the pilot gets paid whether he flys or not), shout, scream, threaten to open doors etc I have advised him of this before so I hope he remembers as it can work. I hope he has the nerve to do that, it would be difficult but would buy us some time. Thoroughly pissed off with the shambles that is UK border agency! Imagine if it was someone you cared about :-(

If worst comes & Ola's flight leaves I'm worried about him at other end.

Imagine landing in a country you haven't been in for 10yrs with no money & just the clothes you have on & the imminent threat of arrest or worse!

Finally apologies for not catching up with my comments but I've been a bit busy & emotionally drained by all this!
