Redwing
With my Old Salt's eye, I could see that the tide was going out, so headed over to the Brough of Birsay. An hour or so later I saw that the tide was actually coming in and I was in danger of being cut off. Must get my fiver back off that Old Salt. The water didn't quite come over my boots though so not
too wet. There were a few migrants about- a wheatear, two snow buntings, 6-9 redwings around the Palace and a ringtail hen harrier that was struggling in the wind. I liked seeing small skeins of barnacle geese heading in from the sea- about 60 birdsin all.
