Smokin'

We've had a huge pile of bushes that had been cut (hacked) out of the garden sitting on our patio for about 6 weeks.  The estate had said they would collect them - 6 weeks ago - and said they would do so when chased a few more times.... so today, we'd had enough, and decided it was time to burn it all. I fear we may have smoked out some of our neighbours, but as one kindly told me when I went to apologise, we're in the country, it's what happens. 

Pretty slow day today, the husband was at a dinner last night in London and got back pretty late, I drank too much gin with a neighbour, which was great. It did mean that at nap time today, the entire family took advantage and grabbed some much needed sleep.
