Land Use

Here is a new block of apples.  Just two leaders on each trunk will be trained up the wires and eventually head towards the heavy metal frames.  The very high wires will support the cloth netting that protects the fruit from hail and birds and limits sun damage.  On the Richmond Hills in the background you can see from right to left a block of forest that has been logged, a bright green patch of baby pine trees and a dark green patch of growing pine trees.
I had a productive time in the garden clear felling overgrown shrubs from the front of the section.  My knee didn't hurt so tonight I am very cheerful.  I will catch up with your journals tomorrow.
