Fusion

Lovely to see Tom and Dorothy, who paid us an unexpected visit. After MrM had given Tom a few tips on playing the fiddle (Tom's just started learning to play), we walked across the street for lunch at Breeze. Then, back at the flat, we drank tea and chatted in to the afternoon.

A very pleasant day, but meant that MrM's good intentions to work (he had a day off during the week...), and mine to do some domestic chores, were thwarted. Tomorrow, maybe?!

Yesterday evening's contemporary jazz concert featuring Don Paterson on guitar was very good (some fabulous guitar playing), and I enjoyed it. But this evening's concert was brilliant - Fred Thelonious Baker (on the right) and his band playing the music of Pat Metheny! MrM informs that it's jazz fusion; much more to my taste, methinks!
