Turk's turban

I actually bought this squash but thought a photo of it in the garden would look better than on the kitchen table.  The Spalding Pumpkin parade was held on Friday with lots of activities for the children.  90% of all UK pumpkins are grown in local fields.  However, those pumpkins are best for hollowing out rather than for cooking.  The Turk's turban has a much better flavour and it made four containers of soup.  It's great with a few roasted and curried seeds on top.
