Today's the day . . . . . . . . . . to go for a ride

We've been so lucky with the weather here in France during our stay.

It has been wall-to-wall sunshine ever since we arrived - and today it was hotter than any day I can remember this summer, never mind the middle of October.   It was a joy to go for an amble round the village in t-shirt and shorts taking in all the colours of autumn that are beginning to show themselves in the trees and hedges.

We met this horse and rider twice on our walk.  They were out doing the same sort of thing . . . . . . . .
