Dog on a roof

The day included a trip to the Royal Burgh of Lanark.  Ellen has a couple of pieces of sculpture in an exhibition there.  In our wandering we came across a statue of a dog on a roof, an unusual sight.
A notice nearby told us of a dog owner besotted by his pet dog.  His neighbour did not share the love.  The dog was found poisoned.  The neighbour was suspected but nothing could be proved.  A statue was created and set on the roof where it looked onto the neighbour's house.  A very appropriate commemoration.
