Poor Phil.

Unlike yesterday's blip, for which I was actually able to find some historical data (added after the fact), this one has no documentation (so far) and so brings up more questions than answers:

First of all, was Policeman DeFries shot at 23 times over that six year period or all at once?

Was he shot at 23 times by 23 different people or was he shot at 23 times by one very pissed-off person?

Was he ever hit by any of those 23 shots?

Who was keeping track and why did they stop?

Was it because there was a 24th shot and it was fatal?

Or, did Policeman DeFries retire at age 65 with a gold watch and a few scars?

I know there's a story here somewhere, so I'll keep looking.
