I rarely photograph other people’s art but as I wandered round the church cloisters between rehearsal and concert this afternoon, these floating jellyfish transfixed me. They are made of paper by Eric Margery, an artist from Grenoble participating in an exhibition of artists from Oxford and four of its twin towns.
I found Eric, sitting on one of the window ledges on the opposite side of the cloister, and was pleased to tell him how much I enjoyed these.
I've missed about half the concert rehearsals and wasn't sure I'd manage this afternoon but we did Vaughan Williams's Flos Campi justice.
