Taking Off

Went for walk this morning and saw a bird (don't know what it is)sitting in tree looking around.It brought to mind Beckett's Blackheath group last weeks assignment of taking a bird taking off.

I patiently waited for something to happen. I had the camera sitting on a post with my eye at viewfinder waiting .....waiting. I heard a couple approaching and they started talking to me. I told them I was hoping to catch it taking off. They then offered to assist by clapping. First claps didi nothing but second successful..Takeoff. Click and above is the result. Thought later that may have got a better shot if in continuous mode.

Lesson learnt was that you need a lot of patience for this form of photography. Photo not great but bird is about to fly.
